The Plymouth County Extension 4-H program sponsors a FREE 4-H Sunflower and Pumpkin Project.
This FREE 4-H Plant Science Project is being offered to
Plymouth County children ages 5-18.
In addition to receiving the seeds and planting instructions each youth participant has the opportunity to enter to have their sunflower / pumpkin judged.
4-H Contests are being held Virtually this year.
Submission deadline is October 8, 2021 at 5PM
Plymouth County 4-H sends seeds with instructions to classrooms, youth groups and individual families throughout Plymouth County. If you would like to participate in the Growing Sunflower and Pumpkin Projects please fill out the order form below.
We encourage youth to participate through their classrooms for the best educational experience.
If your class is not participating and and you want to participate as an individual please fill out the order form below with your home address.

This year we give participating youth an opportunity to show off their pumpkin and sunflower grown with
seeds supplied from Plymouth County 4-H.

The Plymouth County Extension 4-H program is once again sponsoring a free 4-H Sunflower and Pumpkin Project. This 4-H Plant Science Project is offered to Plymouth County children ages 5-18. All youth participants will have the opportunity to enter the 2021 Contests.
Sunflower and Pumpkin contests will be virtual for 2021.
Below is the order form for your class / group / family.
Please fill it out and send it to us by March 30.
The seeds will be ready for pick up or delivery by April 30.
You will be notified via email when your seeds are ready.
Planting should take place between May 15 and June 15. If you have any questions.

Educators will receive an electronic version of the 4-H Sunflower Project Guide .
Below is the criteria the sunflowers and pumpkins will be judged on.
You will recieve notice in September with submission details.
SUNFLOWER
· Full length picture of your sunflower with a ruler / tape measure next to it
· Full picture of the head of the flower with a ruler / tape measure next to it
PUMPKIN
· Full picture of pumpkin with a ruler / tape measure next to it
· Full picture of pumpkin with measuring tape around it to show circumference
